Welcome to JOHN AHLF

With steadfast determination down his carefully planned route to success, John Ahlf has shown himself time and again to possess the ability to set high goals and achieve them. This consistency in performance has made him one of the top businessmen in Iowa. Soon, he will represent Iowa at the National Business Committee's annual meeting. While at the meeting, Mr. Ahlf will weigh in on factors affecting Iowa's economic future as well as network with other successful business people from around the country.

John Ahlf has always been one for setting his goals high and not stopping until he has achieved them. While earning his bachelor's in Business Management and Marketing at Cornell, John Ahlf maintained a 3.7 grade point average. While working toward his master's in Business Finance from Hamilton University, Mr. Ahlf kept up a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

Proving to be a self-starter in every way, John Ahlf worked with Cornerstone America as the owner of his own subsidiary. By understanding the wants and needs of the average insurance customer in the Mid-West, John Ahlf was able to increase his sales volume beyond that of anyone else in his region. Mr. Ahlf remained the top sales person for 11 months straight. Cornerstone America was also pleased to have John Ahlf join their "Million Dollar Round Table," where he held a position for four years. John Ahlf also worked with Wells Fargo Bank as a loan officer. His impressive work with the bank led to him being granted the responsibility of opening a new branch.

In addition to his academic achievements, John Ahlf's career has been marked by success garnered from smart decisions. While managing his own subsidiary of Cornerstone America, John Ahlf was the top sales associate in his region for 11 months straight. He worked his way to becoming part of the company’s “Million Dollar Round Table,” and held his position there for four years. Thus proving that in addition to the managerial and finance skills necessary to earn his degrees, John Ahlf also possesses the much-needed sales skills which are the life-blood of any company.

Currently, John Ahlf is Vice President of Marketing at NFG Broker in Davenport, Iowa. This combination of loan underwriting company and vice president is exciting for both, as they share the same vision for the future of NFG. NFG has been, and will remain committed to getting the lowest interest rates and closing costs for their customers. John Ahlf holds similar ideas of customer service, and the addition of his motivation and knowledge can only be an asset to NFG.

On a personal level, John Ahlf cares deeply about parent-abandonment issues that develop when a child grows up in a single-parent household. Mr. Ahlf has taken certain steps to thoroughly educate himself on custody laws in Iowa. He is involved with a group called Fathers for Equal Rights which advocates on behalf of non-custodial parents who wish to see more of their children.
